Latitude and Meridians of Longitudes Latitude
A spherical earth rotates one axis on its axis in twenty-four hours is called the daily motion of the earth. Any place on the surface of the earth, such as the place 'Ahmedabad', rotates a bull in twenty-four hours and forms an imaginary circle.
This circle is called latitude. Axis + numerator + circle (circle) i.e. latitude circle. The equator is the zero degree latitude, which is the principal and largest latitude. Other important latitudes are Tropic of Cancer (23.5o North Latitude), Capricorn (23.5 South Latitude), North Pole (66.5 ° North), South Pole (66.50 South), North Pole (90 ° North) and South Pole (90).
Local Time
Due to the daily motion of the earth, each longitudinal circle on the earth is exposed to the sun once in 24 hours. So in all the places on any one longitude the sun comes to the head once in 24 hours and it is noon all over all the places at the same time and that time is called 12 noon. This time is called the local time of all the places on the longitude. Since each longitude is in front of the Sun, the local time of each is different. The longitude of any city can be known if local time is given
Standard Time
The local time varies from place to place on different longitudes. Therefore, if villages, cities, metropolises, etc. located on different longitudes in any country deal with their respective local times, then many difficulties arise in road, railway, air travel, commercial activity, communication, etc. To overcome this difficulty each country usually determines the local time of the longitude passing through its center as the normal time of the whole country. It is called the standard time of that country and it is called the central longitude. India's standard time is determined from 82.50 east longitude passing through the central part of the country. However, no large and well-known city in India is located on this longitude. It is bordered by Allahabad to the west and Varanasi to the east.
